In security, Piggybacking refers to a person tags along with another person who is authorized to gain entry into a restricted area, or pass a certain checkpoint. The term more often refers to an illegal or unauthorized act. Tailgating means an attacker, seeking entry to a restricted area secured by unattended, electronic access control, e.g. by RFID card, simply walks in behind a person who has legitimate access.
